Dominica is known as "the Nature Island" for good reason: this small island boasts an unspoiled rainforest, volcanic hot springs, 365 rivers and countless waterfalls. The diving in Dominica is some of the best in the Caribbean. Lots of small critters, spectacular walls, turtles, and mounds upon mounds of colorful corals, sponges, and crinoids. And don’t be surprised if you are greeted by playful dolphins or whales during your surface intervals.

As on previous visits, we intend to spend time exploring the interior of the island, too. Sixty per cent of the island is still covered with natural vegetation and is home to 172 bird species. Whole eco-systems can be observed in the forests with their overwhelming variety of trees, plants, ferns and mosses. We had a blast hiking to and swimming in the waterfalls and lakes!!

The Castle Comfort Lodge sits on the ocean’s edge at the base of Dominica’s spectacular mountain ranges. The traditional style guest house has just 14 tropical air-conditioned rooms. Food and drink are available at their waterfront bar and restaurant.

Dive Dominica is based right at Castle Comfort Lodge. Dominica’s dramatic wall dives are just a short boat ride and the diving from the dock is some of the best on the island! Tanks are available for shore diving around the clock!!

The trip package includes airfare from JFK on the same airline, 5 days of 2 tank boat dives, unlimited shore diving at the lodge, standard room, full breakfast daily, airport transfers on the island, use of kayaks, hotel and airport taxes. The diver price is $1,987.00. The non-diver price is only $1,817.00. All prices are person double occupancy.
